Technical Requirements

The following are the minimum technical specifications needed to work with Blackboard: 

•  Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP or compatible operating system: Mac OS X.
•  Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Netscape, Mozilla, Safari and other web browsers may not fully support all features of Blackboard.  Javascript enabled and cookies accepted.   Browser guide
•  56K modem, broadband or DSL connection
•  64 MB RAM (higher preferred), 1GB free disk space
•  Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader

 Participant Requirements

• Windows 2000+, Mac OSX 10.2+ or Linux*
• 128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended)
• IE 5.0+, Netscape 7.0+, Mozilla 1.0+, Safari 1.1+ (Browser must be Java and JavaScript enabled)
• Internet access at 56k or above

• Headset with microphone or speakers and microphone are required for 2 way communication with Horizon Wimba Live Classroom
